Format Tutorial

The formatting of real estate documents is sometimes overlooked. Most real estate documents are drawn up by the lender, attorney or document software companies. While the content is correct and usable state to state, often the formatting is different state to state / county to county.

What some forget is formatting goes beyond the typeset of the document. And this is where CountyCalc comes in.

We provide complete document “formatting” detail and examples including but not limited to:

  • Margins, including 1st page top.
  • Required information and location of important add on information such as:
    • PPN / Tax ID #
    • Return To (required content and placement)
    • Document Preparatory Information
    • Notary acknowledgment requirements
    • Witness requirements
    • Approved pen ink color
    • Are stamps / labels / strikeouts / whiteout / staples etc. allowed
    • And any other requirements that could result in rejection of your document during the recording process.
